International Federation For Professional Speakers - IFFPS
I am proud to be a member of The International Federation For Professional Speakers and
Asia Professional Speakers – Singapore.
The IFFPS is the umbrella organization linking independent associations for professional speakers around the world. (On another note our Federation is for some odd reason sometimes mistyped as The International Federation Of Professional Speakers – interesting, eh?) As professional speakers we understand we can do more collectively then separately. Each member association opens their door wide to other members from around the world in an effort to foster continuing education, expertise, eloquence, enterprise and ethics in the industry. The Federation officially launched in January 1998 after approval from the Boards of Directors of the first four Federation member countries – The Unites States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. I was recently in Malaysia with Joseph C. Sherren, CSP, HoF from Canada who is our current IFFPS President. He is doing a great job for our Federation as did Robyn Pearce, CSP who served the Federation as President last year. Our incoming Federation President-Elect is none other then the legendary W. Mitchell, CSP, CPAE from the USA and Australia. Here is the list of all of the Federation’s Past Presidents: Warren Evans, CSP, HoF- 1997-1998 Founding Federation President David Price, CSP - 1998-1999 Federation President Max Hitchins, APS - 1999-2000 Federation President Patricia Ball, CSP, CPAE - 2000-2001 Federation President Kit Grant, CSP - 2001-2002 Federation President Terry Paulson, CSP, CPAE - 2002-2003 Federation President Catherine Palin-Brinkworth, CSP - 2003-2004 Federation President Paul Bridle, CSP - 2004-2005 Federation President Naomi Rhode, CSP, CPAE - 2005-2006 Federation President Robyn Pearce, CSP – (2006-2007) Immediate Past Federation President
