Jim Rohn

Jim Rohn was born on September 17, 1930 into a rural Idaho farm family. He is an American business philosopher, motivational speaker, businessman, and bestselling author. (1)

His work has influenced many others, including myself, to launch their own career as a motivational speaker.

Jim began his early adulthood without acclaim, leaving college after his first year, starting a family, and trying to get by as best as possible. By age 25, he says he was in a personal rut - in debt, unable to see a way that would lead him to the success that he desperately craved.

Around this time, he met Mr. Shoaff, an entrepreneur who impressed Mr. Rohn with his wealth, business accomplishments, charisma, and life philosophy.

Mr. Shoaff' became Jim’s mentor leading him down the path of personal development culminating in Jim becoming a millionaire by the time he was 31.

Mr. Rohn soon discovered that people wanted to hear his rags-to-riches story which launched his career as a professional speaker.

I first heard Jim Rohn in a day long seminar in Birmingham, Alabama when I was an advertising account executive. I will never forget taking what seemed like almost one hundred pages of notes that day. His business and life philosophy made absolute sense to me as a young professional.

I have also had the privilege of learning from Mr. Rohn in Singapore as well as taking part in his one year coaching program.

In 1985, Jim won the coveted CPAE Award from the National Speakers Association

He is a millionaire, entrepreneur and businessman devoted to helping others achieve all they are capable of in life and business.
