About Charles “Tremendous” Jones
Charles “Tremendous” Jones entered the insurance business at age 22. At age 23, he was awarded his agency's Most Valuable Associate Award. Ten years later, he received his company's highest management award for recruiting, manpower and development, and business management. In 1965, he founded Life Management Services to share his experience through seminars and consulting services. I first met Charles “Tremendous” Jones when I was an undergraduate and was a salesperson for the Southwestern Company in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2007 Charles “Tremendous” Jones came to Singapore and spoke for a Media Corp “Laugh & Learn” Program as well as for some other private groups. During his week or so here in SE Asia I felt like I received a lifetime of education from his wisdom and insights which he shared with me and others we met. In was on his tour of Singapore and SE Asia in 2007 when my young children, Alex & Chandler, first met and fell in love with “Uncle Charlie.” I think they fell in love with him because he told them about his home in PA where he celebrates Christmas all year long. I believe their big goal for 2008 is to go visit “Uncle Charlie” in PA.
One of the ways he has really made an impression on me is how he hugs me and almost literally every person whom he meets – like he has known them for a lifetime. This is part of his gift and a way he imparts love, motivation and inspiration. He is a member of the National Speakers Association Hall of Fame (in 2001 he was recognized as one of the top twenty speakers of the 20th century and in 2006 received the Cavett Award), he is a member of the prestigious Speakers Roundtable, International Platform Association, Gideon's and Christian Businessman's Committee. “Tremendous’ Jones is also the recipient of the 2006 Nido Qubein Philanthropist of the Year Award and the 2007 Toastmasters Communication & Leadership Award.
