Charles “Tremendous” Jones



Charles “Tremendous” Jones entered the insurance business at age 22. At age 23, he was awarded his agency's Most Valuable Associate Award. Ten years later, he received his company's highest management award for recruiting, manpower and development, and business management. In 1965, he founded Life Management Services to share his experience through seminars and consulting services.

Millions of people around the world experienced nonstop laughter as Charles “Tremendous” Jones shared his ideas about life's most challenging situations in business and at home. He is the author and editor of nine books, including Life is Tremendous with more than 2,000,000 copies in print in 12 languages. (1)

He was featured in the "Leadership by the Book" series with Ken Blanchard, "Excelling in the New Millennium” with Jim Rohn, Nightingale Conant's "Executive Treasury of Humor" series, two thirty minute programs by Salesmasters, "The Leading Edge" and "Learning - A Tremendous Experience." as well as numerous other audio, video and print series.

I first met Charles “Tremendous” Jones when I was an undergraduate and a salesperson for the Southwestern Company in Nashville, Tennessee.

Every year, back then, “Tremendous” would come and teach us, challenge us and humor us into being the best sales people we could possibly be.

In was on his tour of Singapore and SE Asia when my children first met and fell in love with “Uncle Charlie.” Three of the greatest things about "Uncle Charlie" my kids loved included his enthusiasm, his sweets he gave out and the fact that at his home in the USA he celebrated Christmas all year round.



He was a member of the National Speakers Association Hall of Fame (in 2001 he was recognized as one of the top twenty speakers of the 20th century and in 2006 received the Cavett Award), he is a member of the prestigious Speakers Roundtable, International Platform Association, Gideon's and Christian Businessman's Committee.

“Tremendous’ Jones is also the recipient of the 2006 Nido Qubein Philanthropist of the Year Award and the 2007 Toastmasters Communication & Leadership Award. (1)

Charles "Tremendous" Jones passed away in 2008, just a few months after he and I did an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was in his energetic eighties and still making people laugh, cry and think. We'll always miss you "Tremendous!"
